Index Ventures closes $2B fundraising to support AI founders from seed to growth

London-based venture capital firm Index Ventures has raised $2 billion in fresh capital across its seed, venture, and growth strategies, bringing its total investing capital to $3.5 billion as it doubles down on artificial intelligence and global technology startups.

  • Founded in 1996, Index Ventures invests across Europe and the US, supporting startups from their earliest stages through growth. Over the past three decades, the firm has backed companies including Revolut, Adyen, Figma, Datadog, Roblox, Robinhood, Scale AI, and Wiz.
  • Index Ventures has remained active across Europe in 2026, backing companies including Marker, Conduct, Inherent, Scope, Adfin, Granola, Parallel, and Uncovr, while also continuing to support existing portfolio companies such as Alan and Wonderful.
  • The fundraise follows several major milestones across Index Ventures’ portfolio. Earlier this year, Google completed its $32 billion acquisition of Wiz, while design software company Figma went public. Fintech company Revolut, another long-standing portfolio company, recently completed a secondary share sale at a reported $115 billion valuation.
  • The new capital includes a $400 million Seed fund, a $900 million Venture fund, and an additional $700 million allocated to the firm’s existing Growth fund, increasing that vehicle from $1.5 billion to $2.2 billion. Index Ventures did not disclose the limited partners backing the new funds.
  • Index Ventures said the new funds will allow the firm to continue backing founders “from first check to the public markets and beyond,” supporting companies across different stages of growth.
