- VÆRIDION has also secured commercial commitments for more than 130 aircraft, valued at over €730 million, with ASL Group serving as its launch customer.
Details of the deal
- Alongside the equity round, the European Commission has selected VÆRIDION's CAROLUS project for a €94.5 million grant from its Innovation Fund, bringing the total announced equity and grant funding to more than €124 million.
- The funding will support the development and testing of the first conforming Microliner prototype, while the EU grant will finance the construction and ramp-up of a final assembly facility at Oberpfaffenhofen Airport near Munich.
- The facility is expected to support the production of electric regional aircraft at scale, with the grant agreement scheduled for 2027.
