Google has announced the first 2024 recipients of its $10 million Google for Startups Ukraine Support Fund. 9 Ukrainian-founded tech companies will receive equity-free cash awards, Google mentoring, product and technical support, as well as other benefits.
About Google for Startups Ukraine Support Fund
- In March 2022, Google launched the Google for Startups Ukraine Support Fund to assist Ukrainian startups in maintaining and growing their businesses, strengthening their community, and laying a foundation for post-war economic recovery. The first Fund provided $5 million in equity-free cash awards to 58 recipients, including Skyworker.ai, Mindly, and Zeely.
- Earlier this year, Google for Startups launched a $10 million second Google for Startups Ukraine Support Fund. It is run in partnership with 1991, Ukraine’s first and largest accelerator. Recently, the fund has announced its first 9 recipients.
The 2024 cohort includes:
- Ailand Systems, smart autonomous drones for landmine detection
- BazaIT, an all-in-one hiring solution for tech companies
- Carbominer, green CO2 capture from the air as a service
- Clearly, a tech platform that effectively connects psychotherapists with clients
- Eddy, a comprehensive digital space for teachers, parents, and students
- Eventmate, all-in-one app, empowering event creators to engage with their audience and build community using popular messengers
- Natively, an effortless conversion of any website into iOS/Android apps
- Spendbase, a platform for companies to optimize SaaS, cloud, and corporate card spending
- Uspacy, an all-in-one digital workspace for SMBs, streamlining communication, collaboration, and CRM.
“Our company will receive funding as well as ongoing Google mentorship and product support. This will help us to further improve the technology to save lives and clear Ukrainian land of explosive objects. Thank you, Google,” Ailand Systems’ team, commented.
- Chosen startups receive up to $100,000 in non-dilutive funding, ongoing Google mentorship, product support, and $300,000 in Google Cloud credits on a rolling basis.
- The next round of applications is currently open for Ukrainian-founded startups that meet the criteria. Interested startups should apply on the website by July 31st.
