European growth-stage investor Highland Europe has closed its sixth fund with €1.1 billion in capital commitments, receiving continued support from its existing LPs as it expands its ability to back technology companies scaling into global businesses.
- The new fund brings Highland Europe’s total capital raised since its launch in 2012 to €3.75 billion across six vehicles. The London- and Geneva-based firm has invested in more than 80 companies and completed 30 exits, focusing on software and technology businesses with ambitions to become category leaders.
- In 2026, the firm generated more than €1 billion in liquidity, including the $3 billion sale of enterprise software company Nexthink, the planned acquisition of food and nutrition brand Huel by Danone, the $7.5 billion merger of fitness technology company EGYM and Playlist, and the public listing of software company Bending Spoons on Nasdaq.
- Highland Europe’s portfolio includes technology companies such as 9fin, AMCS, Bending Spoons, Camunda, Featurespace, GetYourGuide, hyperexponential, Nabla, n8n, Nothing, Wolt, and Zwift.
- The firm has also continued deploying capital into emerging technology leaders, recently backing companies across artificial intelligence, enterprise software, and deep technology. Its recent investments include leading a $70 million Series B round for legal AI platform Wordsmith, a $50 million Series B investment in enterprise AI delivery platform Unframe, and a $105 million Series D round for precision agriculture company Ecorobotix.
