UK-based fintech company Revolut, which provides digital banking, payments and financial services, has reached a $115 billion valuation following the completion of its latest secondary share sale, making it Europe's most valuable private technology company.
- Founded in 2015 by Nik Storonsky and Vlad Yatsenko, Revolut serves more than 80 million retail customers globally. The company has expanded its banking operations throughout 2026, launching banks in the UK, Mexico, Australia and New Zealand, securing banking licences in France, Colombia and Argentina, and receiving conditional approval for a US national bank charter from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.
- In 2025, Revolut reported revenue of $6 billion, up 46% year-on-year, while pre-tax profit increased 57% to $2.3 billion.
- The transaction was led by Glade Brook Capital Partners, Coatue, Durable Capital Partners, T. Rowe Price Associates and Baillie Gifford, with participation from existing and new global investors. The company did not disclose the size of the transaction.
- Unlike a primary funding round, the secondary sale involved existing shares, allowing employees and investors to sell part of their holdings without bringing fresh capital into the company.
- The new valuation represents a significant increase from the $75 billion valuation established through secondary transactions in 2025 and the $45 billion valuation recorded in 2024.
- With the latest transaction, the company aims to continue expanding its international banking operations and work towards its target of reaching 100 million active customers across more than 100 countries.
