London-based Metris Energy, an AI-native platform for managing energy assets, has raised $5 million in a Seed round led by PT1 Ventures, Octopus Ventures, AENU, and Blackfinch Ventures, with participation from Plug and Play and Love Ventures, as Vestbee was informed.
- Founded in 2025 by Natasha Jones, Metris helps energy asset owners manage and reconcile data from systems including inverters, meters, SCADA, CRMs, spreadsheets, and finance tools through a unified data layer.
- The platform provides a real-time view of energy portfolios and supports asset performance, revenue, and operational management.
- Metris has developed Metria AI, an AI interface designed to automate complex tasks traditionally handled manually by operations teams. The company aims to provide an intelligent system of record for energy assets by combining data from asset systems, metering, SCADA, GIS, and energy markets.
- Metris currently manages more than 10,000 solar plants and 500MW of capacity for power producers, reporting 8x year-on-year revenue growth.
Details of the deal
- The fresh capital will be used to expand Metris’ agentic AI capabilities, extend its platform to wind and combined heat and power systems, and accelerate its expansion across Europe, particularly Germany. The latest funding brings the company’s total funding to $7.5 million.
