London-based AI and robotics company Humanoid, which develops industrial humanoid robots, has raised $152 million in a Series A funding round at a $1.35 billion post-money valuation. The investment brings the company’s total funding raised to date to $270 million.
- Founded in 2024 by Artem Sokolov, Humanoid develops humanoid robots designed to support operations across industries including manufacturing, logistics, and retail.
- The company’s wheeled robots are powered by its proprietary AI platform, KinetIQ, which integrates perception, reasoning, and motion control to enable autonomous operation in industrial environments.
- Its HMND 01 Alpha robot is built for industrial applications, featuring a 15 kg payload capacity, up to four hours of runtime, and 29 degrees of freedom.
Details of the deal
- The round was led by Prime Movers Lab, with participation from Bosch, Schaeffler, Fubon Financial Holding Venture Capital, and Aglaé Ventures.
“Humanoid robotics will be one of the defining technologies of the next decade, reshaping how commercial and industrial work gets done. We expect the field to consolidate around a handful of category leaders across the US, Europe, and China. Humanoid AI will be one of a small cadre of robotics companies that will define humanoid robotics in Europe and beyond,” said Zia Huque, General Partner at Prime Movers Lab.
- The fresh capital will be used to advance Humanoid’s next-generation robotics platform, expand commercial deployments, support mass production of its wheel-based humanoid robots, and further develop its KinetIQ AI platform toward general-purpose industrial applications.
