HelmGuard raises $7.3M to automate risk and compliance with AI agents

London-based HelmGuard, an agentic governance, risk, and compliance platform, has raised $7.3 million in a seed round co-led by Infinity Ventures and Frontline, with participation from FinTech Collective, Stage 2 Capital, and Entrepreneurs First.

  • Founded in 2024 by John Daley and Jack Miller, HelmGuard develops AI agents that collect and assess risk signals directly from company systems and documentation.
  • The platform brings fragmented security, risk, and compliance data into a single network and automates workflows including internal compliance, third-party risk management, and AI agent assurance.
  • Unlike traditional GRC platforms, which rely heavily on questionnaires and documentation, HelmGuard aims to continuously assess whether controls mitigate risks, whether vendors meet risk requirements, and how AI agents behave. Its findings include citations and reasoning traces to support reviews by internal teams, auditors, and regulators.
  • The company said its platform has already assessed 1,250 counterparties for a US insurance customer in less than a week, while another global health technology company reduced its customer assurance response time from days to minutes.

Details of the deal

  • HelmGuard will use the new funding to expand its presence in the US, including New York and San Francisco, hire across engineering and go-to-market teams, and accelerate product development. The company will also develop its agent assurance layer, which evaluates AI agent behavior at runtime, and its Verified Risk Network, designed to replace static compliance documents with continuously verified risk claims between organisations.
