Copenhagen-based product compliance platform Complir has raised $11 million in a seed round led by General Catalyst, with participation from Vendep Capital, True, Liquid 2 Ventures, SV Angel, Ritual Capital, Founders Future, Gharage Ventures, Robinhood Ventures, and Y Combinator.
- Founded in 2025 by Gustav Bang, Complir develops an AI-powered platform that helps retailers and brands manage product compliance across markets.
- Its technology supports product classification and risk assessment, identifies applicable regulations and standards, and helps companies prepare compliance documentation, including Declarations of Conformity and product labeling.
- The platform integrates product data and documents from PIM, PLM, and supplier systems and can also help retrieve missing documentation from suppliers. Complir serves retailers and brands across categories including toys, cosmetics, textiles, electronics, and home goods.
- The company previously raised €1.7 million in a pre-seed round led by Vendep Capital in 2025 and participated in Y Combinator's accelerator program.
Details of the deal
- With the fresh capital, Complir plans to expand its regulatory coverage, grow its presence across Europe, and hire engineers, compliance experts, designers, and go-to-market staff.
