Norwegian firm Bsure raises $2.1M to eliminate identity blind spots in Microsoft environments

Oslo-based SaaS firm Bsure, which provides software giving organisations real-time visibility into Microsoft Entra ID identities, access rights and licence usage, has raised a $2.1 million seed round led by Scale Capital, with support from existing US-based shareholders, Vestbee was told.

  • Established in 2022 by Henrik Skalmerud, Hallvard Eide, Gunnar Weld, Olav Helland and Frode Omdal Arnesen, Bsure develops software that gives organisations a clear, real-time overview of identities, user accounts and access rights inside Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365 environments.
  • The platform connects directly to a company’s Microsoft tenant and automatically collects data on users, permissions and licenses. It then analyses this information to identify inactive or risky accounts, unnecessary access, and unused or overlapping licenses, issues that typically accumulate unnoticed in large cloud environments.
  • By turning this raw data into straightforward insights, the software helps IT teams clean up identities, prevent unauthorised access and reduce licence costs, without manual reporting or scripting.

Details of the deal

  • Bsure will use the fresh funding to expand its team, accelerate its international growth, and deepen its product development efforts. The company plans to build on its strong foothold in the Nordics while scaling further into the US market, where it is already seeing early traction.
  • The investment will also support continued improvements to the platform’s scalability and ease of deployment, as well as the development of new AI-driven features designed to make identity visibility even more actionable for customers.

“Bsure fits squarely within our thesis of backing Nordic founders building critical B2B infrastructure with global potential. They’re solving a universal problem every IT department faces – security, visibility and efficiency in the Microsoft cloud, with impressive precision," explains Joachim Schelde, Principal at Scale Capital.
