Munich-based HRtech startup WorkerHero has secured €4 million in a Series A funding round led by Mediahuis Ventures. This funding will support WorkerHero in developing its technology further and integrating new features.
- Founded in 2021 by Richard Fischer, Michael König, Steven Miller, and Emanuel Wernitz, WorkerHero is a recruiting tech company that helps businesses source and hire blue- and grey-collar workers. Their fully automated software solution minimizes recruiter time and maximizes efficiency by managing campaigns, pre-qualification, and ensuring successful recruitment processes.
- The startup operates with a team of 40 and has a presence in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. WorkerHero counts over 70,000 registered users and has established partnerships with more than 200 companies, including Enpal, Shell Mobility System, Mymuesli, Octopus Energy, and T-Mobile.
Details of the deal
- The investment was led by Mediahuis Ventures, an Amsterdam-based venture capital firm specializing in investments in European EdTech and HRTech companies at the Series A stage. The firm's portfolio comprises 13 startups with 20 investments, including 1 exit with Bunch.
- Munich-based VC 10x Founders and Bonsai Partners, a technology venture capital firm based in Madrid, also participated in the funding round.
- With the capital raised, WorkerHero plans to expand its technology, introduce innovative features, and expand services to new industries, aiming to tackle the skilled worker shortage.
