Belgian field inventory management software startup Ventory secures €1.75M

Belgium-based field inventory management software company Ventory has secured €1.75 million in a seed round led by Finindus and Matterwave Ventures. The funds will allow Ventory to accelerate the development of its platform.

  • Founded in 2021 by Vishal Punamiya, Ventory creates field inventory management software that gives field services companies complete control and visibility over their inventory, including forward stock locations and engineers' vans.
  • The platform enables professionals to make accurate, data-driven decisions and is used across various industries, including logistics, infrastructure, renewable energy, and high-tech.

Details of the deal

  • The seed funding round was led by Finindus, a Belgium-based venture capital firm supporting tech companies across Europe and globally, and Matterwave Ventures, a Munich-based firm that has backed over 60 companies with initial investments ranging between €1-4 million and follow-up rounds exceeding €10 million per portfolio company.

“Ventory’s experienced team has developed a software platform, that enables its customers to gain full visibility of inventory at edge locations, even including moving inventory, such as in vans or consignment stock. Unlike existing solutions, the platform is designed to be easy to use, allowing even untrained users to effectively manage inventory, which will certainly be a key driver for user adoption," Partner at Matterwave, Benedikt Kronberger, stated.

  • The consulting firm Delaware, acknowledging Ventory's value as an extension to ERPs like SAP, also participated through Ventures by Delaware, its corporate venture arm.
  • The new investment will help Ventory accelerate product development, expand its team, and enhance its market presence.

"This acknowledgment from leading investors in smart industrial technologies not only validates our efforts but also underscores their confidence in Ventory's potential to scale and make a meaningful impact in the industry. I am both honored and grateful for this support," Founder and CEO of Ventory, Vishal Punamiya, stated.
