New York-based startup SplxAI, which offers cybersecurity solutions for AI applications and chatbots with a focus on threat detection and mitigation, has raised $2 million in a pre-seed funding round led by Inovo.vc, with participation from South Central Ventures and Runtime Ventures. The fresh capital will be used to develop its platform.
- Founded in 2023 by Kristian Kamber and Ante Gojsalić, SplxAI develops Probe, an advanced security platform designed to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities in chatbot systems, providing cutting-edge protection for GenAI-powered conversational apps.
"It blew me away when they showed how they're able to crack the chatbot of a well-funded US company. They were able to extract sensitive data within minutes. That demonstration was a wake-up call: the vulnerabilities in AI systems are not just theoretical; they're real and urgent," Principal at Inovo.vc, Karol Lasota, commented on LinkedIn.
Details of the deal
- The fresh funding was led by Inovo.vc, a Warsaw-based venture capital firm that supports early-stage startups across Poland and the CEE region, investing between €500,000 and €4 million.
- The investment was joined by Runtime Ventures which focuses on seed and pre-seed stage cybersecurity investments; Belgrade-based VC South Central Ventures; and several business angels.

- This funding will accelerate the startup's efforts to build the first end-to-end platform for offensive AI security, enabling enterprises to securely adopt GenAI technologies and stay ahead of emerging vulnerabilities.
