Berlin-based Revel8, which trains employees to defend against AI-driven cyberattacks, has raised a €5.7 million seed round led by Peak, bringing its total funding to €7 million.
- Launched in 2023 by Julius Muth, Tom Müller, and Robert Seilbeck, Revel8 develops cybersecurity software aimed at tackling AI-driven social engineering.
- The company concentrates on strengthening the human layer of defense through adaptive simulations delivered across multiple communication channels, including email, SMS, voice, and video.
- The platform functions as an AI-native training environment that draws on live threat intelligence and open-source intelligence (OSINT) to generate individual risk profiles. These insights are used to design personalized attack scenarios that adapt to each employee’s role, behavior, and performance.
- By replicating the methods attackers actively use, ranging from phishing and vishing to deepfake impersonation, the system exposes users to realistic threats and reinforces decision-making under pressure.
