Munich-based industrial tech startup PULSETRAIN secures €6.1M seed round

Munich-based industrial tech startup PULSETRAIN, which enhances EV battery life and efficiency with smart software, has raised €6.1 million in seed funding. The round is led by Vsquared Ventures and Planet A Ventures, with support from Climate Club.

  • Founded in 2022 by Leopold König, Thomas Plaschko, and Niclas Lehnert, PULSETRAIN focuses on improving battery management and inverter technology for electric vehicles (EVs).
  • Their solution increases battery life by up to 80%, allowing EV batteries to last 18 years instead of 10, while reducing charging time through smart software and pulse charging. The technology actively manages thermal risks, enables fast and efficient charging, and supports a wide range of battery types and applications, from two-wheelers to off-road vehicles.
  • PULSETRAIN's AI-powered solutions simplify battery management with over-the-air updates for continuous performance improvements. The system also reduces the size and weight of components, enhancing vehicle efficiency and range, while prioritizing safety with secure battery management.
