Deventer-based company OpusFlow, which develops an integrated platform to streamline operations for renewable energy installers, has secured €3.8 million to accelerate the growth of its European automation platform, as Vestbee was informed.
- Launched in 2022 by Diego Smits and Joey Teunissen, OpusFlow develops an integrated platform for renewable energy installers. The platform consolidates core business operations, including quotations, project planning, scheduling, inventory management, invoicing, and procurement, into a single system.
- Its modular design allows users to connect different business processes through dedicated modules, while automation features reportedly reduce administrative project time by up to 80%, cutting the average workflow from 7.5 hours to 1.5 hours.
“With OpusFlow, we are building the platform that enables installers to fully automate their operations. The new funding will help us support installers across Europe in expanding their services and accelerating the energy transition together," co-founder and CEO of OpusFlow, Diego Smits, commented in a press release.
- OpusFlow employs around 40 staff members, and its cloud-based platform supports over 100 leading sustainable installers across Europe, operating in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Spain, and the UK.
Details of the deal
- The investment was led by Move Energy, an Amsterdam-based early-stage VC firm backing transformative hardware and software solutions to decarbonize power, transport, and buildings.
- The round also received support from Rise PropTech and existing backer Peak Capital, who also led the company’s earlier €1.7 million round in July 2024.
“OpusFlow has quickly proven to be the operational software backbone for renewable energy installers. By integrating AI they are raising the industry standard, making them the ideal partner for installers looking to work faster, more efficiently, and with higher customer satisfaction,” claims Thijs Dijkman, Partner at Peak.
- OpusFlow will use the €3.8 million to integrate AI, expand its platform with new modules for HVAC, wind energy, and EV charging, grow its European presence, and hire additional product, sales, and support staff.
