UK-based deeptech startup Nyobolt, which offers high-power electrified energy solutions, has secured $30 million to fuel market expansion and grow the team. The funding brings the total raised to $100 million.
- Co-founded in 2019 by Dame Clare Grey and CEO Dr. Sai Shivareddy, Nyobolt develops high-power, ultrafast charging, and energy storage technologies for power-intensive industries like AI, heavy-duty transport, and data centers.
- Based in Boston and Cambridge, Nyobolt's proprietary anode material enables faster charging, higher power density, and longer cycle life, which reduces downtime and enhances efficiency.
- The startup claims that its offerings, including Nyobolt Ultra charging in 6-10 minutes and Nyobolt Xtreme charging in 1-5 minutes, deliver up to 20x more power, long run time, and exceptional cycle life. Batteries maintain performance over 25,000 cycles without degradation.
Details of the deal
- The fresh funding was led by London-based VC IQ Capital, Latitude, the sister fund of LocalGlobe, and strategic partners such as Scania Invest and Takasago Industry.
"Nyobolt has achieved what so few companies can do: translating deep tech research from the lab into a global, impactful business. We’re continuing to support Sai and the Nyobolt team as they take on this ambitious challenge not just as a company but the whole energy sector," claims Max Bautin, co-founder and Managing Partner at IQ Capital.
- The fresh capital will enable Nyobolt to accelerate the advancement of its proprietary technology, expand its market presence, grow its team, and strengthen its leadership in ultra-fast power systems.
- Additionally, it will support the development of high-density power solutions to meet the increasing demands of AI infrastructure and power-intensive industries.
“Our vertically integrated technology is already positively impacting customers, enabling them to experience stable, fast charge solutions when they need them the most. I’m delighted to have the confidence of our customers and investors as we further strengthen our mission to push the boundaries of ultra-high-power solutions," co-founder and CEO of Nyobolt, Sai Shivareddy, commented.
