Polish startup Microamp secures funding to accelerate 5G mmWave wireless networks

‍Polish startup Microamp, which develops 5G mmWave wireless systems, has secured strategic funding in a round led by Balnord with participation from ffVC. The amount is undisclosed.

  • Microamp builds portable, end-to-end 5G mmWave solutions for commercial, industrial, and defence applications. Its networks are designed to be deployed rapidly, operating in standalone mode for real-time decision-making, AI-driven analytics, and secure communications.
  • Capable of transmitting data at up to 4 Gbps with minimal delay, the all-in-one system is built to resist interference and jamming, ensuring reliable and secure private 5G connectivity across both commercial and defence sectors.

"Our mmWave solutions are the answer to the growing demands of Industry 4.0 and AI applications, which require not only enormous throughput but primarily military-grade reliability and security. What sets our technology apart is the ability to deploy complete network infrastructure within hours, while competitors need weeks," explains Marcin Góralczyk, CTO of Microamp.

  • Microamp has already established strategic partnerships with AMD, Supermicro, Druid Software, and leading system integrators across Europe and the APAC region. According to the startup, its technology is increasingly chosen by mobile operators for 5G mmWave RAN and Fixed Wireless Access trials, and the company plans to expand into large-scale commercial rollouts.
  • The new funding will be used to scale operations, expand international deployments, and further develop Microamp’s Integrated Access and Backhaul (IAB) architecture, enabling cost-efficient mesh networks and faster rollouts.
