Paris-based data platform Freqens raises €3M pre-seed round

Paris-based startup Freqens offers a platform that optimizes B2B negotiations with real-time data and supplier management. It has raised €3 million in a pre-seed funding round to revolutionize B2B purchasing. The round saw support from Seedcamp, Kima Ventures, Zebox, and Motier Ventures.

  • Founded in 2024 by Maxime Liebens, Richard Gozlan, and Alexandre Barreira, Freqens develops a platform to enhance B2B negotiations.
  • The startup enables finance teams and buyers to centralize supplier data, benchmark terms, and leverage real-time market information for smarter decision-making.
  • The platform provides market insights and peer benchmarking to help businesses assess their purchasing performance and gain a negotiation edge. By improving transparency in transactions, Freqens helps companies secure better buying conditions and build stronger supplier relationships.

“We enable companies to instantly know the right price to pay and to benchmark complex categories — a task humanly impossible to achieve in a matter of seconds. I am convinced that the key to securing the best terms is to maintain and nurture a direct supplier relationship. Our analyses reveal price variations of up to 45% for comparable scopes," Claims Richard Gozlan, co-founder and COO of Freqens.

  • Freqens has already secured several clients, including Electra, Polène, MemoBank, Homa Games, and Safran.ai, and has gained support from purchasing experts like Laurence Laroche (La Poste) and Florence Baiget (Veolia).

Details of the deal

  • The investment saw support from Seedcamp, an early-seed fund that supports tech startups and has invested in around 500 companies, including UiPath, Wise, and unicorns Revolut, Synthesia, and Prelude.

"We were very impressed by Max, Alex, and Richard — especially their individual backgrounds and their complementarity as a founding team. We’ve seen several companies in the procurement/fintech space, which are often complex replacement suites," Partner at Seedcamp, Sia Houchangnia, stated.

  • The round also saw participation from French VC Kima Ventures, Marseille-based ZeBox Ventures, Paris-based VC Motier Ventures, Paris's investment management firm Financière Saint James, and business angels, including Mark Ransford, Alexandre Berriche, and Roxanne Varza.
  • The fresh capital will enable the startup to expand its team, invest in product development, and drive growth in both the French and international markets.
