Cologne-based startup epilot, which develops a cloud solution for optimizing and scaling sales, service, grid and implementation processes, has raised €10 million. The round was led by the UK Expedition Growth Capital.
- epilot was founded in 2017 by Michel Nicolai, Szilard Toth, and Rolf Benken. The startup’s solution supports energy suppliers, grid operators and solution providers in the energy transition. With the help of epilot, utilities can improve efficiency, by coordinating and automating sales processes for new renewable energy products.
- The leading investor Expedition Growth Capital is a growth equity firm with around 15 companies in its portfolio in areas like AI, vertical-focused SaaS, financial software, future of work, and customer engagement infrastructure. Expedition Growth Capital’s ticket size ranges between $10 million and $30+ million.

- The fresh funding is planned to allow epilot to grow its staff, especially the product engineering team, in order to create new products and solutions for the platform and enhance its AI capabilities.
