Helsinki-based B2B distribution platform Droppe has raised $3.9 million to serve industrial buyers. The investment was led by OpenOcean and saw participation from Lifeline Ventures, Illusian Family Office, and various angel investors.
- Founded in 2020 by Henrik Helenius and Johannes Salmisaar, Droppe develops a B2B distribution platform that simplifies the sourcing and purchasing of packaging, paper, and operating supplies. The platform enables organizations to automate their procurement processes and handle orders more efficiently.
- Since its inception, Droppe has assisted over 1,500 firms in shifting from outdated sourcing and procurement procedures to automated sourcing, smart catalogs, and cross-organizational supply needs coordination. Moreover, its platform offers over 200 suppliers with EU standards, including PortWest, Nitras Safety, Ansell, Buff, Abena, BodyProducts, and UniGloves.
Details of the deal
- The funding round was led by OpenOcean, a Helsinki and London-based venture capital firm focusing on leading Series A investments in European companies driving the data economy, including B2B platforms and Enterprise.
- Helsinki-based early-stage VC Lifeline Ventures, the Helsinki-based Illusian Family Office, and several notable business angels participated in the round. These angels include Miki Kuusi, Co-Founder of Wolt; Ilkka Paananen, Co-Founder of Supercell; Robert Gentz, Co-Founder of Zalando; Marianne Vikkula, COO of Wolt; and Mikko Silventola.
