Croatian AI security startup SplxAI has closed $7M in seed funding led by LAUNCHub Ventures with participation from Rain Capital, Inovo, Runtime Ventures, DNV Ventures, and South Central Ventures.
- Founded in 2023 by Kristian Kamber and Ante Gojsalić, SplxAI develops an AI security platform designed to tackle the risks of AI and LLM technologies. It simulates complex attack scenarios across text, images, and voice to identify and mitigate potential threats like prompt injections and hallucinations. Powered by a continuously updated attack database, SplxAI helps businesses deploy AI while minimizing security risks.
- LAUNCHub Ventures is the leading investor in the seed round. It's an early-stage venture capital fund investing in startups across SEE and CEE. The fund's focus spans AI/ML, SaaS, fintech, proptech, and robotics. Its portfolio includes FintechOS, Quantive, OfficeRnD, Ampeco.
“AI agents have the potential to redefine the business landscape, but as their adoption increases, so does the potential for abuse. SplxAI is the only vendor with a plan for managing this risk at scale. Their deep roots in red teaming and novel approach to automating AI security testing will be a critical enabler to the industry going forward,” said Stan Sirakov, General Partner of LAUNCHub Ventures.
- The recent funding will speed up the development and use of the SplxAI Platform, helping organizations secure their internal AI agents and customer-facing AI applications through automated security testing, dynamic remediation and continuous monitoring of AI systems.
