Estonian healthcare startup CARÁ Health has raised €620,000 in a funding round led by Tera Ventures, with participation from StartupIst Ventures. CARÁ Health plans to improve its technology and expand its operations into the German-speaking DACH region, bringing the total funds raised to €750,000.
- Founded in 2022 by Carina Vantsi, Keiro Vantsi, and Anna Strubel, CARÁ Health develops a health and wellness platform tailored for women during maternity. The platform offers a wide range of features, including educational content, product recommendations, podcasts, masterclasses, and service referrals.
- With offices in Tallinn, Tartu, and Berlin, CARÁ Health claims that it supported more than 1,000 women during their pregnancy journey in Estonia.
- The startup partnered with several firms, including DODICI, Happy Aging, Malino Beauty Clinic, Babor Beauty Studio, and Placent Active.
- In 2022, CARÁ Health secured pre-seed funding of €130,000 from various angel investors, including Jevgeni Kabanov, Kristel Kruustuk, Triin Hertmann, Dag Nurm, Aastha Yadav, and Veronica Diquattro.
- The leading investor in the current round is Tera Ventures, an international investment firm based in Estonia, backing founders from the Baltics, Scandinavia, and CEE and their compelling visions at pre-seed and seed stages.
- Startup Istanbul founder Burak Büyükdemir from StartupIst Ventures also participated in the round.
- With the fresh investment, CARÁ Health plans to develop its platform and expand its presence in additional German-speaking countries across the DACH region.
