Finnish startup Bahn Express, a cross-border vehicle transfer company, has raised €920,000 in a pre-seed funding round from Trind Ventures and Innovestor, with participation from Wave Ventures.
- Established in 2024 by Matias Blomberg and Atte Vesala, Bahn Express specializes in cross-border vehicle transfers, using technology and a driver-based network to speed up used car deliveries across Europe.
- Customers place delivery orders online, and a Driver-Partner picks up the vehicle. The vehicle remains insured throughout the journey, and real-time tracking provides updates until delivery.
- The service aims to cut transport times from the usual 10–30 days to just 2–5 days, reducing costs by about €400 per vehicle and improving stock turnover by 30% for dealerships.
- Since launching, Bahn Express has delivered over 1,500 vehicles, reached €150,000 in monthly revenue, and formed partnerships covering more than 70% of Finland’s imported used car market.

Details of the deal
- The pre-seed funding came from Tallinn-based VC Trind Ventures and Innovestor, a Finnish investment manager focused on venture capital, real estate, and energy storage, with participation from Wave Ventures, a Munich-based VC firm, and notable angel investors.
