German defense tech startup ARX Robotics has secured €31 million in a Series A funding round, totaling €40 million overall. The round was led by HV Capital, with support from Omnes Capital, the NATO Innovation Fund, and Project A.
- Launched in 2021 by Marc A. Wietfeld, Stefan Roebel, and Henrich Maximilian Wied, ARX Robotics develops autonomous unmanned ground systems and modular robotics for defense and commercial applications.
- The startup's core technology, Mithra OS, combines AI and modern sensors with legacy platforms, enabling autonomy and real-time adaptability. The company's systems, like the Gereon platform, support tasks such as reconnaissance, logistics, and crisis response.
- ARX’s solutions are modular, cost-effective, and designed for scalability, using open APIs and off-the-shelf components to quickly adapt to different needs.
“The demand for modular, software-driven defense systems is growing rapidly — and we’re building the company that will define this category in Europe," claims, Marc A. Wietfeld, co-founder and CEO of ARX Robotics.
- In 2024, ARX Robotics raised €9 million in a seed funding round to support company growth and scale up production across Europe. The round saw participation from NIF, Discovery Ventures, and Project A.
