Sofia-based EV charging management platform AMPECO secures $26M Series B

Sofia-based AMPECO, an EV charging management platform offering cloud-based, white-label solutions for managing charging infrastructure and energy usage, has raised $26 million in a Series B funding round to accelerate the expansion of global EV charging networks. The round was led by Revaia, with support from Cavalry Ventures, LAUNCHub Ventures, and BMW i Ventures.

  • Founded in 2018 by Orlin Radev, Stefan Ivanov, and Alexander Alexiev, AMPECO develops a cloud-based, white-label EV charging management platform that helps businesses manage infrastructure, optimize energy usage, and enhance the charging experience.
  • The hardware-agnostic platform integrates with smart meters, building systems, and renewable energy sources to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Since its $16 million Series A funding in 2023, AMPECO has connected over 120,000 charging stations for 160+ clients across 60 markets, with notable partnerships including E.ON Drive, ChargeGuru x Zeplug, INDIGO Group, Free2Move, Wattif, and Elaway.

Details of the deal

  • The funding round was led by Paris-based VC Revaia, a technology investor backing growth-stage companies from Series B to IPO. With offices in Paris, London, Berlin, and North America, Revaia offers expertise and ESG insights to tech scale-ups.

“We are thrilled to lead AMPECO’s Series B and partner with a company that is at the forefront of powering the future of electric mobility. At Revaia, we aim to back companies that deliver long-term and sustainable impact for multiple stakeholders," Partner at Revaia, Morgan Kessous, commented.

  • The Series B was also backed by existing investors, including Berlin-based VC Cavalry Ventures, BMW i Ventures, and LAUNCHub Ventures, a Sofia-based VC firm supporting companies in Central and Southeastern Europe with investments ranging from €300,000 to €2 million, and leading rounds up to €4 million.
  • AMPECO will use the Series B funding to accelerate product enhancements and expand into key markets, including Western Europe, the UK, North America, and Southeast Asia. The company also plans to double its team size over the next two years to support this growth.

"With this funding, we’re poised to further drive innovation in EV charging management software, helping our clients build and scale robust charging networks that will accelerate the global transition to electric mobility," Claims Orlin Radev, CEO at AMPECO.
