Zurich-based amnis, a company developing a global banking solution for SMEs, has raised CHF 10 million (€10.6 million) in a Series B funding round led by Swisscom Ventures to fuel its growth.
- Founded in 2014 by Michael Wüst, Robert Bloch, and Philippe Christen, amnis develops an international banking platform for SMEs, offering a multi-currency solution to streamline cross-border payments, team expenses, and accounting tasks.
- Amnis enables businesses to manage multi-currency payments with local accounts in Switzerland, Germany, the UK, and the US. It offers IBAN accounts, real-time tracking, flat-rate currency trading, debit cards, and a mobile app for easy financial management.
- According to the company, it serves over 3,000 businesses in more than 35 countries and has seen its payment volume has doubled in the past 12 months, fueled by high demand for its debit card and expense tracking features.
Details of the deal
- The Series B round was led by Swisscom Ventures, the venture capital arm of Zurich-based Swisscom AG, Switzerland’s leading telecommunications and IT provider. The firm invests in companies focused on Telco & IT Cloud, DeepTech, Cybersecurity, Fintech, and Big Data & AI.

- The round also included a CHF 2 million debt agreement with Lendity, a Swiss growth capital investor, along with participation from existing investors, including Lansdowne.
- Amnis will use the new funds to expand into new markets, integrate accounting systems and ERP features, and strengthen its position in existing markets. The funds will also support growth-related needs and help the company enhance its product offerings.
