Vilnius-based Repsense, an AI platform for analyzing and predicting media narratives, has raised €2 million in a seed round, including a €1.1 million final tranche led by Tensor Ventures and Seed Starter, CVC of Česká spořitelna bank, as Vestbee was told.
- Founded in 2022 by Mykolas Katkus and Alfredas Chmieliauskas, Repsense is a European data analytics company that develops AI-powered tools for tracking, analyzing, and predicting the spread of information and disinformation across traditional and social media.
- Its flagship platform, Havel, captures narratives from over 60,000 sources, including TV, news outlets, forums, and social media platforms like TikTok and Telegram.
- The system detects brands, people, objects, and ideas in real time, measures influence, dominance, and sentiment, and provides predictive insights to help governments, businesses, and institutions anticipate emerging threats, track hostile narratives, and respond quickly to evolving information environments.
- The company also develops algorithmic content analysis and object recognition technologies for new media formats, supporting advanced monitoring of disinformation and information trends.
Details of the deal
- The seed round was led by Tensor Ventures with support from Seed Starter (CVC of Česká spořitelna), BSV Ventures, and Coinvest Capital.
“Repsense technology shows how quickly deep tech is penetrating several areas at once. It is a powerful information defense tool, but also a whole new space for advanced marketers. Information is an increasingly powerful asset, which is why we are delighted to be able to make such a significant investment," claims Ondřej Lipold, partner at Tensor Ventures.
- Repsense will use the fresh funding to expand its disinformation analysis and information-tracking platform, develop capabilities in short-form algorithmic content analysis and object-based recognition for emerging media formats, and grow its presence in both security and commercial sectors.
- The funds will also support scaling the Havel platform, which is used by NATO, European government institutions, and global commercial clients, as well as accelerating overall company growth and strengthening its team.
