London-based deeptech company BeyondMath has secured a $10 million Seed extension, bringing the total round to $18.5 million, led by Cambridge Innovation Capital and joined by existing investors UP.Partners, Insight Partners, and InMotion Ventures.
- Launched in 2022 by Alan Patterson and Darren Garvey, BeyondMath develops a foundational AI model trained directly on first-principles physics, enabling high-fidelity simulations of complex physical systems.
- The platform interprets uploaded geometries without the need for preprocessing, runs full-scale transient simulations with engineering-grade accuracy, and provides real-time visualization of physical parameters such as pressure, velocity, and temperature.
- By replacing traditional solvers, BeyondMath can deliver results up to 1,000 times faster, allowing industries such as aerospace, automotive, semiconductors, and energy to explore thousands of design iterations, optimize performance, and compress development cycles from months to days.
Details of the deal
- BeyondMath will use the funding to grow its team, expand research, and increase adoption of its generative-physics AI platform across Europe, the US, and Japan, enabling faster and more efficient engineering simulations for industrial and technological applications.
“BeyondMath is tackling one of the hardest and most valuable problems in engineering. By combining first-principles physics with modern AI, the team has built a platform that can redefine how complex systems are designed across multiple industries. We look forward to supporting Alan, Darren and the team as they continue to scale," claims Edward Inns, Principal at Cambridge Innovation Capital.
