Notable funding rounds across Europe:
- Berlin renewable energy Cloover has raised a $114 million seed round led by Lowercarbon Capital. Existing investors 9900 Capital and QED also joined.
- Sweden-based Natural Cycles, a developer of a birth control app, has closed a $55 million Series C led by Lauxera Capital Partners l.
- Irish healthtech company Spectrum.Life has closed a €17 million investment round led by Act Venture Capital.
- Finnish startup Fiberwood has raised €7.7 million to develop its eco-friendly building insulation and packaging materials. Investors include Metsä Spring and Stephen Industries.
- UK traveltech company Swiipr has raised £6 million in Series A. Octopus Ventures led the funding, with participation from TX Ventures and Solano Partners.
- Portuguese home services app OSCAR has raised over €6 million. Lince Capital and Indico Capital Partners co-led the funding.
- London-based legaltech StructureFlow has raised $6 million in Series A funding from the US venture capital firm FINTOP Capital and UK-based Venrex.
- London and Paris-based investment management platform Landytech has raised £5 million from CIBC Innovation Banking.
- Swiss crypto-asset fin services provider SCRYPT has raised $5 million in funding led by Braza Bank.
CEE startup funding rounds & acquisitions:
- Romania’s product management platform for financial services providers FintechOS has raised a $60 million Series B extension led by Molten Ventures, Cipio Partners, and BlackRock.
- Czech energy tech startup Delta Green has raised a €2.2 million funding led by Tilia Impact Ventures. Credo Ventures and Purple Ventures also joined the round.
- Prague-based Product Fruits has secured €1.47 million from Reflex Capital. The proceeds will allow the startup to further develop its AI-based adoption platform.
- Tallinn-based SaaS startup Esgrid has secured a €500,000 pre-seed round. The investment came from Lemonade Stand, EstBAN, Startup Wise Guys, and Little Green Fund.
New venture capital funds and VCs’ news:
- Ukrainian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (UVCA) has launched a $300 million Fund of Funds to support the private equity, venture capital, and tech ecosystem in Ukraine.
- Italy’s harttech VC Rialto Ventures has secured €55 million to further invest in European founders developing robotics, non-gen AI, cybersecurity, AR/VR, Enterprise SaaS, healthtech solutions.
- Berlin-based VC fund identity.vc has raised €15 million of a target €50 million fund to back 25 early-stage startups launched by LGBTQ+ entrepreneurs. Its ticket sizes will range from €250,000 to €1.5 million.
- Cambridge Future Tech has raised $5 million to support deeptech startups between pre-incorporation and pre-seed stages.
