Notable funding rounds across Europe:

  • ​​Spanish small mailbox startup Citibox has raised €80 million in debt funding, led by Growth Credit Partners (London) and CoVenture.
  • German-founded robotics navigation software startup Cartken has raised $22.5 million in a round led by 468 Capital.
  • Denmark’s Kvantify, which solves computational issues by leveraging the power of quantum and high-performance computing, has secured €10 million in a seed round.
  • London-based nature intelligence company Natural Capital Research Limited has secured $10 million in an oversubscribed Series A funding round to scale its product.
  • Cologne-based supplier of reusable packaging solutions with software capabilities Vytal has secured €6.2 million in a growth funding round led by Zurich-based Emerald Technology Ventures.
  • Austrian carbon offset startup Tree.ly has secured €5 million seed investment led by PortfoLion Capital Partners, with participation from aws Gründungsfonds, Symbia VC, and the Tyrolean Business Angel Network.
  • Stockholm-based analytics platform Steep, which provides all collected data to every employee, has raised €4 million led by Connect Ventures.
  • Paris-based startup altrove, a climate tech product manufacturer, has raised €3.7 million in a pre-seed round to develop alternatives to critical materials.
  • Dublin-based fintech startup CreditLogic, which simplifies the mortgage application procedure, has secured €3.5 million to expand its operations into Europe further.  
  • Swedish mental health platform Meela, which helps people find their matched therapist, has secured €2.6 million in a seed round to expand in the UK. 
  • Graz-based Trever, a provider of a state-of-the-art infrastructure for digital assets' management, has raised €2.4 million co-led by TX Ventures and Market One Capital.
  • Norwegian startup Versiro that develops software for power producers operating in electricity markets, has raised €2.3 million in a seed round led by Alliance VC.
  • French energy transition startup Orus Energy has raised €2.2 million in a round led by b2venture, Asterion Ventures, and Ring Capital.
  • ISPTech, a spin-off from the German Aerospace Center, has raised €2 million in a pre-seed funding round. The investment was led by HTGF | High-Tech Gründerfonds.

CEE startup funding rounds & acquisitions:

  • Estonian climate tech startup eAgronom has secured €10 million in a Series A2 equity round. The investment came from Swedbank AB, Icos Capital, Soulmates Ventures, and SmartCap Green Fund.
  • Estonian VC SmartCap has invested €5 million in Antler Nordic Fund II to support tech startups across the Nordic region, including Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, and Estonia.
  • Croatian-founded startup Daytona has secured $5 million in a seed round led by Upfront Ventures, with participation from existing investor 500 Global. 
  • Serbian-American platform Lupa Technology, which offers data management solutions for the construction sector, has secured $1.8 million to expand into new markets. 
  • Polish software development startup Moniti, which develops an app to manage deskless teams, has raised over €410,000 from Smartlink Partners and JR Holding.

New venture capital funds and VCs’ news:

  • Madrid-based Seaya has raised €300 million for its climate tech fund, Seaya Andromeda. With ticket sizes ranging from €7 million to €40 million, it plans to make 25 investments by 2027, including five more deals this year.
  • Swiss VC firm Forestay has closed its second fund, Forestay Capital II, securing $220 million in commitments. It will invest in Enterprise AI and SaaS companies.
  • Spanish VC Abac Nest Ventures has launched a €20 million fund, Abac Nest II, to support early-stage software startups, focusing on finance, AI, digital health, and consumer sectors. 
  • Budapest-based multi-vertical VC Nesprit has launched an €750,000 early-stage micro fund to invest in climate tech, water tech, foodtech, and IIoT startups across CEE.

  • AWS and Anthropic GenAI Scale Program
