- UK-based Just Climate debuts a €1.4Bn fund. The firm will back growth-stage climate solutions spanning energy, mobility, industry, buildings, and more.
- German VC Yttrium raises €400M for its next fund. The firm will back European B2B software and technology scaleups especially those across the industrial and financial sectors.
- Deep tech investor IQ Capital raises €400M for its venture and growth funds. The firm will support innovation throughout UK and Europe
- UK's fund of funds Isomer Capital closes a €250M fund to invest in early-stage fund managers.
- Lithuanian defense investor and accelerator ScaleWolf goes live and invites local dual-use startups to apply for pre-acceleration.
- Solo GP investor Common Magic debuts a fund to back startups in Europe / US. The firm will be generalist but focused on companies across all sectors where “community” is the moat.
- Finnish venture capital firm, 3TS Capital Partners, has taken the lead in a funding round that raised €6 million for Spectrm, a conversational marketing provider based in Berlin. 3TS Capital Partners supports startups in various sectors, such as technology, internet, media, and communications based in Europe.
- The European Investment Fund (EIF) is launching a €200 million fund for European defense and security tech. This initiative will support private equity and venture capital funds targeting investments in dual-use defense and security technologies.
Startup Funding Rounds & Acquisitions:
- Czech renewable energy startup Woltair raises €20.5M to expand in Germany and Italy. The round was led by The Westly Group, joined by Fifth Wall, ArcTern Ventures, KAYA VC, and Inven Capital.
- Ukrainian software development company SoftServe acquires the US mobile app development company Hoverstate to expand the business. The size of the transaction is rumored to be between $12M and $18M.
- Latvian on-demand printing and fulfillment platform Printful acquires an e-commerce solutions company Snow Commerce to augment its offerings. The size of the transaction remains undisclosed.
- Polish tenant experience platform SpaceOS merges with the Australian competitor Equiem to jointly expand around the globe.
- Slovakian greentech startup Sensoneo has raised €6.2 million in a Series A funding round. Sensoneo aims to revolutionize waste management with its technological solutions. The round was led by Taiwania Capital, joined by Crowdberry, EIC, and Venture to Future Fund.
- Ukrainian-found quantum software platform HAIQU gets $4M pre-seed investment to invest in product development. The round was led by led by MaC Venture Capital, with participation from Toyota Ventures, SOMA capital, u.ventures, SID Venture Partners and Roosh Ventures.
- Lithuanian solar project design software PVcase acquires solar siting software platform Anderson Optimization to "streamline the process of designing utility-scale solar power plants in E.U. markets". The size of the transaction remains undisclosed.
- Czech factoring solution for the logistics industry 4Trans receives an investment to expand throughout Slovakia. The round was led by Zerogravity Capital.
- Bulgarian e-commerce delivery solutions company euShipments acquires Romanian fulfillment provider Helpship to expand the business. The size of the acquisition remains undisclosed.
- Lithuanian open data platform Okredo raises €245k round. The round was led by Business Angels Fund and a number of business angels.
- Ukrainian iGaming affiliate marketing agency SETAFF receives investment to expand the business. The round was led by NetSolid Investments.
- Hungarian foodtech startup Greenstic has secured €1.4 million in funding from Hiventures and angel investors. Startup specializes in sustainable food service packaging and aims to promote environmental responsibility in the catering sector.
- Tallinn-based parcel vending machine company Parcelsea has been acquired by Omniva, an international post and logistics company. As part of the transaction, Omniva will gain access to Parcelsea's network of 700 smart parcel boxes and has plans to expand this network across all Baltic countries.
Startup Calls:
- European Space Agency invites spacetech companies to tender for the Baltic earth observation platform. The project has a €900k budget and you can apply until the 16th of June.
- 1991 Accelerator and SocialBoost call for applications for the Open Data Unborken acceleration program. The program will provide up to 400k hryvnas for the winners, 3-month acceleration/pilot program with the government and more. The applications for the program run until the 18th of June.
- The recurrent Baltic gamedev event Castle Game Jam is coming starting on June 12 and run until the 16th of June. The participants will have a chance of join in the team of four, develop a game during this period and receive valuable feedback from the industry veterans.
- This year's Perspektywy Women in Tech Summit starts in Warsaw on the 14th of June. The event will host prominent tech leaders, career fair and opportunities to connect and network.

- The SynergistEIC Open Call 1 is offering support to startups addressing ClimateTech, CleanTech, Circular Economy, and AgriFood challenges. Selected startups will receive up to 50k euro grant, tailored support for 6 months, and increased visibility. The applications submission are open till June 14, 2023 – 17:00 CET
