Movens announces €100M second fund to support CEE startups. The fund will invest between €250,000 and €5 million in up to 34 companies. Movens Fund 2 will launch in H1 2024 with an initial closing of €60 million.
Azolla Ventures announces a $239M climate fund to support founders in taking bigger risks.
Belgium's Amavi Capital expands into the Nordics with the acquisition of Sweden's SF Ventures, adding 11 proptech companies to its portfolio and doubling its total size to 22 companies.

Workee, a Ukrainian startup providing an online business management system for freelancers, has raised $900,000 from SMOK Ventures, Slava Ventures and several angels from Silicon Valley.

Polish-based robotics and automation company Kogena secures €902k in financing from JR Holding, acquiring a 20% stake in the company.
Polish nanoprint company XTPL raises €8.2M in Series V share offering. The Wroclaw-based firm fully sells 275,000 shares, supporting technology advancement and expansion.
CARGOUNIT, the leading locomotive rental company in Central and Eastern Europe, raises PLN 1.5 billion.
Startup Calls:
Aena Ventures is calling for startups to join its acceleration program, offering €50,000 in funding and the opportunity to collaborate with Europe's leading airport operator. Apply by July 31.
Mazovian startups are invited to apply and compete for a total prize pool of PLN 90,000. Apply by 24 July 2023.
Lithuanian Ministry Launches €15M Call to Support Vilnius-Based Startups. The call targets AI, blockchain, and robotics startups operating in the region. Eligible businesses can receive up to €102,000. Apply by September 30, 2023, on the EU Investment website.
Nominations are now open for the Latvian Startup Awards, organized by Startin.LV, with the aim of recognizing local companies for their achievements and success in eight categories. The awards ceremony will be held on September 8th at the Startup Day 2023 event.
