Notable funding rounds across the EU:
- Frankfurt-based Enviria has secured over $200 million in a Series B funding round provided by BlackRock, the world's largest asset manager.
- Lisbon-based Powerdot secures €100 million funding led by Antin Infrastructure Partners and Arié Group.
- France-based maritime surveillance company Unseenlabs has closed an €85 million round from Supernova Invest, ISALT via its Strategic Transition Fund, UNEXO, and existing investors.
- Parisian startup, Photoroom, secures $43 million in Series B funding from new investor Aglaé and existing one — YCombinator.
- The UK photo-sharing app Lapse today closed a $30 million Series A round co-led by Greylock and DST Global Partners, alongside existing investor Google Ventures.
- German no-code toolmaker Heyflow has raised $16 million Series A in a round led by Singular.
- Embat, a Spanish fintech for real-time treasury management, has closed a financing round of €14.7 million led by the international venture capital fund Creandum, with participation from Samaipata, 4Founders, and Venture Friends.
- French female health startup Sorella has closed a €5 million funding round led by Blisce. German Vorwerk Ventures joined the round.
New venture funds and VCs’ news:
- Norwegian private equity firm Verdane has announced the final close of its newest fund Edda III at €1.1 billion. Verdane will further invest in European companies working in the fields of digitalization and the decarbonization of the economy.
- Pieterjan Bouten, Showpad co-founder, has launched an early-stage VC fund Entourage, raising over $30 million. It is aimed to invest in B2B SaaS businesses.
CEE startup funding rounds & acquisitions:
- Prague-based healthtech startup Upheal has secured $3.25 million in a seed round led by KAYA VC, Credo Ventures, and Inovia Ventures.
- Czech-Ukrainian B2B SaaS platform for restaurants Choice has secured $2.5 million in a new investment round led by J&T Ventures. Existing investors, Reflex Capital and Presto Ventures, also participated.
- Carbominer, a Kyiv-based modular direct air capture technology provider, has secured a €1.5 million grant from the EIC Accelerator Fund.
- Tallinn-based CognitiweAI has raised $1.05 million funding round led by TechOne VC, Eleven Ventures, Flat6Labs, Domino VC, and Caucasus VC.
- Polish startup 1.security has raised a pre-seed funding round of $500,000 from German-Polish Sunfish Partners.
- Warsaw-based Restimo, an application for the gastronomy and q-commerce industry, has secured €465,000 investment from private investors, including Bartosz Majewski, co-founder of Casbeg, and Bartłomiej Kiszala, co-founder of Base CRM.
