Paris-based VC Shift4Good has closed its first fund at €220 million, exceeding the €115 million average for European cleantech VC funds. Key investors include Renault Group, BNP Paribas, and the European Investment Fund.
- Launched in 2022 by Yann Marteil, Sebastien Guillaud, and Matthieu de Chanville, Shift4Good is a venture capital firm with offices in Paris and Singapore. Specializing in smart mobility and circular economy startups, the firm focuses on Series A and B rounds. To date, it has backed 13 startups across seven countries.
- Shift4Good also offers an investor platform that connects startups with corporate partners, providing insights, exclusive deal flow, and opportunities for collaboration to drive impact and success.
- The fund targets investments of $4 million to $20 million per company, focusing on transformative startups in the rail, road, air, and maritime sectors across Europe and Southeast Asia.
- The €220 million fund received support from prominent investors, including Renault Group, BNP Paribas, Bpifrance, the European Investment Fund (EIF), Edenred, PSA Ventures (part of the Port of Singapore Authority), ComfortDelGro, Capricorn, Candriam, and Tsao Pao Chee’s IMC Ventures.
