Krakow-based startup Reality Games, which develops mobile games using real-world big data, has secured $4.7 million in a seed funding round backed by several business angels, with additional support from Unfold.vc, Republic, and Acquinox Capital.
- Established in 2015 by Zbigniew Woznowski, Reality Games is a gaming studio that develops mobile games using real-world big data. The company integrates vast datasets, including geolocation, NASA satellite scans, and demographic insights, to create strategy and tycoon-style games that reflect real-world environments.
- Reality Games' titles, including Landlord Tycoon and Landlord GO, allow players to interact with real-world locations, enabling them to virtually buy, sell, and manage properties.
- Additionally, the studio develops Monopoly World, a mobile game that blends geolocation and augmented reality, where players explore real-world places, collect properties, and build their virtual empire.
- Reality Games operates from offices in Krakow and London with a team of 50 employees. The company is also developing the Big Data Game Engine, a platform designed to simplify game development by removing the need for artificially created content, making the process more efficient.
