Milan-based VC Italian Founders Fund has launched a €50 million fund to invest in Italian seed and pre-seed startups, aiming to support Italy's next generation of talent and digital innovation. The fund saw participation from a broad group of 100 Italian entrepreneurs from various sectors.
- Managed by Koinos Capital SGR and led by Lorenzo Franzi, a former Global Founders Capital Partner, IFF is a venture capital firm that supports founders with Italian roots, who are aiming to develop their startups globally. The firm leads pre-seed and seed rounds with high conviction, offering active support, strategic collaborations, founder-friendly terms, commercial expansion, and transparency.
- To date, IFF’s portfolio includes four startups, with a fifth deal nearing completion. Two have been disclosed so far: the customer research platform Glaut in April and the HRtech startup Jet HR, which IFF led a round of funding for in 2023.
- IFF plans to execute 25 transactions within its investment period, with initial investments ranging from €500,000 to €1.5 million. Additionally, there is potential for further funding of up to €2.5 million in subsequent rounds.
