Polish startup DBR77 Robotics closes seed round led by ff Venture Capital

DBR77 Robotics, a Polish startup that offers an all-in-one platform for industrial automation, integrating IoT, digital twin technology, and robotics, has successfully closed its seed investment round. In this round, four renowned investment institutions decided to back the company with capital to support its international expansion and technological development.

  • The round was led by ff Venture Capital, a strategic partner that strengthens DBR77’s position thanks to its global network, proven track record in scaling startups, and deep expertise in AI and automation. ffVC is an international venture capital fund with offices in New York and Warsaw, specializing in early-stage investments across sectors such as artificial intelligence, robotics, manufacturing, security, and energy. The firm recently announced a new €60 million fund focused on Central and Eastern European startups, including those in Poland, Germany, and Austria.

Other investors who joined the seed round include:

  • NCBR Investment Fund (NIF), a co-investment VC fund owned by the National Centre for Research and Development, focusing on high-growth SMEs commercializing R&D outcomes.
  • RKK-Investment, a fund controlled by Roman Karkosik, one of Poland’s most prominent stock market investors.
  • KIROI, a fund backed by German industrial investors, specializing in innovative industrial technologies and AI-powered solutions.
  • In addition, existing investors EEC, Level 2, and SQD Alliance reaffirmed their financial and strategic commitment to DBR77’s growth.

"At NIF, we believe that supporting the right solutions allows us to shape the future. We invest in those who dare to innovate, invest in R&D, and boldly strive to change the world. DBR77 is a clear example that technological advantage is achievable — and worth pursuing relentlessly," said Marcin Syposz, Board Member at NCBR Investment Fund.

New members of the DBR77 Group

As part of its international expansion, DBR77 has established DBR77 Gmbh in Berlin and DBR77 Inc. in Pittsburgh.

  • DBR77 GmbH (Berlin). Operating for over a year, this subsidiary leads DBR77’s growth in the German market and now serves as the regional hub for DACH and broader Western Europe. Fully integrated into the group’s operational structures, it offers the complete portfolio of DBR77’s products and services. The team recently showcased the platform at Hannover Messe with great success.
  • DBR77 Inc. (Pittsburgh). The newly established US entity has officially launched. Its first major initiative is participation in the AUTOMATE trade show in Detroit, where it will present the DBR77 platform to a broad network of American industrial partners. The company has already initiated talks on pilot implementations and acts as DBR77’s operational center for the US and broader North American market.

An executive team update accompanies the round

  • Paweł Mroczkowski has joined DBR77’s executive board, taking on responsibility for business development across Western Europe and key strategic partnerships. Mroczkowski is an experienced entrepreneur and advisor with 17 years of cross-sectoral experience, a graduate of Harvard Business School and Hult International Business School, with a strong focus on digital transformation and scaling technology companies.

What's next?

  • The raised capital will be allocated to the execution of DBR77’s scaling strategy, focused on expansion into Western European and US markets. A key part of the plan is the development of AI-based capabilities – including advanced data analytics, integration with IoT systems, and further deployment and commercialization of DBR77’s Digital Twin, the core of its intelligent production and logistics management offering.

“Today, I can say this with confidence: our technology and market strategy are perfectly aligned to succeed in a world undergoing global transformation. The industrial and logistics sectors face unprecedented levels of uncertainty and competition. DBR77 is the answer to these challenges — a platform that enables measurement, optimization, and automation of production and logistics like nothing this market has seen before,” summarized Piotr Wiśniewski, CEO of DBR77.
