Vastpoint, a new VC firm set up to back Polish tech talent, has raised $22 million for its debut fund, as was shared with Vestbee.
The firm was founded by Aleksandra Pedraszewska, an early employee at Polish-founded AI unicorn ElevenLabs, together with co-founders Zuzanna Brzosko, a neuroscientist and founder of biotech Sixfold Bioscience who later worked at pharma giant Eli Lilly, and Karolina Kukiełka, a former investor at London-based InReach Ventures.
Vastpoint, backed by the Polish Development Fund, will focus on AI, B2B SaaS, and healthtech, investing between €500,000 and €750,000 in seed-stage startups.
Poland has produced global category leaders like ElevenLabs, Iceye, and Booksy, but local startups still struggle with capital and operational support, the fund says. Vastpoint aims to fill that gap, backing technical founders, including those educated abroad or with experience at top tech companies like Google or OpenAI.
To accelerate the growth of portfolio companies, the firm has built a network of mentors and advisers, including Mati Staniszewski, founder of ElevenLabs, and Thomas Clozel, founder of Owkin.
"We’ve all been on the founder journey ourselves, and we know that early-stage companies need more than just capital," said Aleksandra Pedraszewska, Founding Partner at Vastpoint. "Our goal is to be the partner we wish we had — combining funding with experience and networks to help Polish startups build globally from day one."
The firm will also co-invest with US and European VC firms looking at Central and Eastern Europe, providing local expertise to de-risk early-stage investments. By combining funding with mentorship from experienced operators, Vastpoint hopes to help Polish startups scale globally and accelerate the country’s tech ecosystem.
