London-based firm Scope, which develops software for industrial inspection companies, has secured $20 million in funding to expand its platform for digitising and automating field inspection workflows.
- Founded in 2022 by Jonny Low and Jakob Cassiman, Scope builds tools designed to digitise field inspection work and reduce the amount of time spent on manual reporting and documentation.
- The company’s platform is used by testing, inspection and certification (TIC) firms to capture data on-site through voice, video, and structured inputs. Once an inspection is completed, the system automatically generates structured reports, reducing post-site administrative work.
- Scope is already deployed across several major TIC providers operating in sectors including energy, aerospace, chemicals, and infrastructure. The software is positioned as a way to reduce reporting time and centralise inspection data that is often fragmented across paper-based or legacy systems.
Details of the deal
- The fresh funding round was led by Index Ventures, with participation from Susa Ventures and Entrepreneurs First, along with backing from industry operators including executives from MongoDB, Omio, and Microsoft AI.
"Building a relationship with Jonny and Jakob, we've had a front-row seat to their evolution, and the upwards slope they are on. That trajectory, more than any single metric, is what convinced us to partner with them and lead this $20M funding round," Index Ventures' team, commented.
