San Francisco- and Paris-based agtech startup Tellia has raised $5 million in pre-seed funding to scale its voice AI technology for farmers, agronomists, and field teams. The round was led by Revent, with participation from Grey Silo Ventures, Jeriko, and Fund F, as Vestbee was informed.
- Founded in 2024 by Coline Labadie de Faÿ and Vincent, Tellia is developing a voice-first interface that helps agricultural teams capture and access operational data without relying on screens, forms, or manual data entry.
- The platform allows users to share information through phone calls, voice notes, text messages, WhatsApp, and email. Tellia converts these inputs into structured records linked to the relevant field, crop, crew, and operation, while also allowing teams to ask questions and receive operational or agronomic insights.
- Tellia has already gained traction in the US, where it launched first. The company reports 80% daily active usage among field teams within two months of onboarding. Its deployments include agricultural producer Campos Brothers Farms and Duckhorn wineries.
- The startup is also expanding its footprint in Europe, with deployments involving the Institut Français de la Vigne et du Vin (IFV), Val de Gascogne, and German plant breeder KWS Saat.
Details of the deal
- The new funding will support the rollout of Tellia’s agentic AI suite, further development of its voice AI technology, expansion across the US and Europe, and team growth.
- Tellia is also developing API integrations that allow agritech platforms to embed its technology directly into their products. This enables users to capture and structure field data through voice while allowing Tellia’s partners to add new functionality without rebuilding their existing platforms.
