Microamp secures €6.5M to accelerate commercial deployment of mmWave systems

Polish deeptech company Microamp has secured €6.5 million in funding from the European Union’s EIC Accelerator programme. The round includes a €2.5 million grant and a €4 million equity investment from the EIC Fund, as Vestbee was told.

  • Founded in 2020 in Poland by Dawid Kuchta and Marcin Góralczyk, Microamp develops wireless infrastructure for high-capacity, low-latency connectivity in industrial, defence, and mission-critical environments.
  • Its technology is based on a programmable AI-PHY architecture that enables adaptive RF performance and software-driven network operation.
  • The company’s Any-G platform is designed to support upgrades through software updates and modular RF components rather than full hardware replacement.
  • The frim operates across multiple frequency bands and evolving 3GPP standards and is intended to support use cases such as Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC), Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN), and AI-based network optimisation.
  • The system is targeted at environments requiring high reliability and uplink performance, including industrial automation, logistics, public safety networks, and defence applications. The approach is intended to reduce infrastructure lifecycle costs while increasing flexibility for private 5G and future 6G deployments.

Details of the deal

  • With the new funding, Microamp plans to continue development of the Any-G platform, scale its software-defined wireless architecture, and accelerate progress toward commercial deployment of its AI-native 6G mmWave systems.
  • The company also aims to expand its presence in European industrial connectivity markets and deepen integration with satellite and non-terrestrial network infrastructure.

“EIC support today puts Microamp in pole position in this heated race for next-generation communications to ensure European sovereignty in this crucial domain,” claims Marcin Góralczyk, co-founder and CTO of Microamp.
