Vilnius-based MELP, an employee engagement platform offering benefits, recognition, and communication tools, has secured €1.25 million in funding led by Coinvest Capital, as Vestbee was told.
- Launched in 2022 by Robertas Šaltis, MELP is an employee well-being and engagement platform that helps organisations connect with their workforce through personalised benefits, recognition, and internal communication tools.
- The platform provides employees with access to over 7,000 benefits across 39 countries, allowing them to choose options that suit their needs.
- MELP includes features such as a mobile app, in-app messaging, surveys, and a 360-degree recognition system, enabling companies to motivate and reward employees while bridging communication gaps.
- For employers, the platform offers analytics, budget control, and HR management tools, while employees benefit from flexible rewards, real-time updates, and access to discounts and perks. MELP is designed to enhance employee engagement, reduce turnover, and improve overall organisational performance.
“The company is expanding not only geographically but also by successfully enhancing its functionalities and focusing on innovation through the use of artificial intelligence – from task automation to an interactive intranet for employees,” explains Robertas Šaltis, co-founder of MELP.
Details of the deal
- The investment was led by Coinvest Capital, a Lithuanian early-stage venture capital firm managing €25.5 million in assets, which contributed €800,000, along with participation from business angels.
- MELP will use the €1.25 million funding to expand its presence in the UK, focusing on mid-sized companies with frontline workers, while continuing to enhance its platform with artificial intelligence features such as task automation and an interactive intranet.
- Additionally, the company aims to scale its e-shop service, the employee benefits marketplace, projecting €3 million in sales in 2025, combining geographic growth, technological innovation, and marketplace expansion.
