Artwod raises €1.1M to help artists improve through practice and community feedback

Antwerp-based creative learning platform Artwod has raised €1.1 million in a seed funding round led by Airbridge Equity Partners, with participation from ForsVC, as Vestbee was informed.

  • Founded in 2022 by Antonio Stappaerts, Artwod is a platform designed to help artists improve their skills through structured practice, personalized learning, and community feedback.
  • Artwod combines guided learning with community feedback, drawing inspiration from platforms such as Duolingo and Chess.com. Artists can share their work, receive feedback, track their progress, and follow short, structured “Learning Roads” tailored to their development.
  • The platform uses artists’ feedback, learning activity, struggles, and progress to make its recommendations increasingly personalized over time.
  • Artwod has also partnered with Wacom to provide digital artists with access to personalized feedback, guided practice, and recommendations for their next steps.
  • The company has grown to more than 100,000 artists worldwide over the past 18 months, with daily platform traffic increasing by more than 500% and daily engaged usage growing by more than 400%.

Details of the deal

  • The fresh capital will enable Artwod to enhance its platform, strengthen personalized learning and feedback, expand its creator community, and launch a marketplace where experienced artists can earn by offering paid critiques and guidance.
