The European Commission has granted €20 million to 41 Ukrainian startups and SMEs. The funding is intended to support the development of deeptech solutions and the integration of Ukrainian companies into the European innovation ecosystem.
- Each company will receive grants ranging from €300,000 to €500,000, with access to the EIC Accelerator, which offers larger funding and equity investments via the EIC Fund.
- The EU funding targets critical sectors for Ukrainian sovereignty, including cybersecurity, AI, robotics, space and marine technologies, as well as bio- and renewable solutions.
- Startups selected by the European Commission include HYDRATICO, VRNEST, Intelswift, eXtra Vision, MARVILON, ObriyAI, Sirocco Energy, Haiqu, Osavul, Sensorama Lab, TechNovator, Kitsoft, Greenvi AI, and Mantis Analytics.
- The funding builds on the Seeds of Bravery initiative, launched in 2022 after Russia invaded Ukraine. It has already invested €2.2 million in 38 companies, including €1.25 million in October 2024, supporting early-stage Ukrainian startups.
