Sofia-based space infrastructure company EnduroSat, which develops standardized, software-flexible satellites and constellation-as-a-service solutions, has raised $205 million in a funding round that values the company at more than $1 billion, making it Bulgaria’s second tech unicorn after Payhawk.
- Founded in 2015 by Raycho Raychev, EnduroSat develops, manufactures, launches, and operates standardized satellites through a constellation-as-a-service model.
- The company has launched 103 satellites into orbit and delivered more than 200 spacecraft for missions worldwide.
- EnduroSat previously raised $104 million in October 2025 to launch a new Space Center and meet growing demand for small- and mid-sized satellite constellations, following a $43 million round led by Founders Fund in May 2025.
Details of the deal
- The round was co-led by Riot Ventures and Atreides Management, with backing from the European Innovation Council Fund, GV, Founders Fund, House Capital, Lux Capital, Omnes Capital, Giant Ventures, Emphatic Capital, and Endeavor Catalyst.
- The fresh capital will be used to scale EnduroSat’s satellite capabilities and develop larger spacecraft through its ESPA-class FRAME line. The company also plans to open a high-volume manufacturing facility in the US and establish what it describes as the EU’s largest space and defense hub.
