Estonian-Ukrainian defense tech company DOD Solution has raised $2.1 million in a pre-seed round from Angel One Fund, Better Angle, Defence Builder Fund, Network VC, Newfund, UAID Fund, WildField Ventures, and 4C Next Holding AG, alongside several angel investors. Canadian drone technology company Draganfly joined as a strategic investor, as Vestbee was told.
- Founded in 2023 by Ivan Oleksii and Nazar Kravchuk, DOD Solution develops autonomy technologies for unmanned systems. The company has built AURA AI, which combines the AURA SBC onboard computer with AURA OS, its autonomy software stack.
- The platform provides autonomous navigation, perception, target recognition and tracking, and terminal guidance in environments where GPS or communications are degraded or unavailable.
- It can be integrated into different types of UAVs, including FPV drones, interceptor drones, and fixed-wing systems.
Details of the deal
- With the fresh capital, DOD Solution aims to bring the next generation of its AURA SBC into production, advance AURA OS and its onboard AI capabilities, and expand integrations with unmanned platform manufacturers in Ukraine and international markets.
- The company is also developing its next-generation onboard computer for production at scale, with a focus on strengthening its component supply chain and meeting NDAA compliance requirements to support expansion into European and North American markets.
