Paris-based fintech Cleavr, which automates accounts receivable and invoice collection with AI, has raised €8 million in a seed round led by Varsity, with participation from existing investors Kima Ventures and Better Angle, as well as Portfolio Ventures, Kerala, and Financière Saint James, as Vestbee was told.
- Founded in 2025 by Baptiste Nassoy, Arthur Guérin, and Antoine Grenard, Cleavr develops an AI-powered platform that automates the invoice collection process, from identifying payment contacts and sending reminders to tracking payment commitments and handling disputes.
- The platform connects with ERP and accounting systems and allows companies to manage collections through email, phone, and SMS.
- Cleavr claims it has secured more than 100 customers within seven months of launching, with customers reporting a 37% average reduction in days sales outstanding and 40% more cash collected. The company currently operates across France, Spain, Germany, Belgium, Italy, and the UK.
Details of the deal
- The new funding comes six months after Cleavr raised a €1 million pre-seed round in March 2026. The firm aims to strengthen its sales team, continue product development, and accelerate its expansion across Europe.
"We were impressed by the vision and execution capability of the Cleavr team. In just a few months, they have won over a hundred companies of all sizes, all of which confirm the solution's impact on their cash flow. The collections market is huge and still very little automated, and Cleavr's agentic approach has everything it takes to create a new standard of autonomous financial management," explains Didier Valet, General Partner at Varsity.
