Berlin-based female-focused VC firm Auxxo has closed its second fund at €33.3 million, with the European Investment Fund (EIF) serving as the anchor investor, as the firm expands its support for female founders across Europe, as Vestbee was informed.
- The new fund, Auxxo Female Catalyst Fund II, follows the firm’s mission to invest in and support ambitious female founders building high-growth companies across Europe.
- The €33.3 million close brings together institutional and private investors, with the EIF anchoring the fund and strengthening Auxxo’s ability to provide capital to female-led startups at early stages.
- Alongside the fund close, Auxxo is launching a new pan-European Founder Matchmaking Platform designed to connect aspiring founders with potential co-founders and help turn early-stage ideas into companies.
- The platform aims to bring together ambitious individuals with complementary skills, experience, and entrepreneurial interests, creating new opportunities for teams to form across European markets.
“We are incredibly proud of the trust placed in us by the EIF and our other LPs, investors who understand that diversity drives returns. Our network is growing not only in size but also in influence and impact. The fact that more than half of our LPs are women shows that the industry is moving towards the future we have always envisioned," Bettine Schmitz, co-founder and General Partner at Auxxo.
- With Female Catalyst Fund II, Auxxo plans to continue investing in female founders across Europe while expanding its broader founder community and matchmaking efforts, addressing both the funding and talent gaps faced by aspiring entrepreneurs.
