French AI fashion startup Veeton raises €2M to expand its market presence

French startup Veeton, with its generative AI platform transforming visual creation for the fashion industry, has raised €2 million in a pre-seed round co-led by Armilar and Founders Future.

  • Founded in 2023 by Christian Kotait, Flore Lestrade, and Tristan François, GenAI platform Veeton specializes in generating photoshoots for fashion brands. It allows customers to create infinite visuals of garments in various styles and morphologies, producing publish-ready images 10 times lower than traditional photoshoots.
  • Veeton's technology combines refined foundation models and proprietary models, allowing retailers to switch collections online faster and at a lower cost, resulting in immediate productivity and operational efficiency gains.
  • Headquartered in Paris, Veeton consists of a team of 8 and has partnered with several notable firms, including Carrefour, bpifrance, Nvidia, HEC Paris, Microsoft, Station F, and OXBOW.

Details of the deal

  • The funding round was co-led by Founders Future, a Paris-based venture capital and venture studio offering creative capital, network support, and resources. It invests in startups at pre-seed, seed, and Series A stages. The other investor was Lisbon-based VC Armilar Venture Partners, which funds tech startups and manages €260 million in assets.

“Veeton serves an industry that needs to reinvent its business model to meet the major economic and environmental challenges. We at Founders Future are delighted to be supporting this talented and ambitious team, which is addressing a theme at the heart of our investment thesis,” Investment Director at Founders Future, Louis Sautet, commented.

  • The round also saw participation from French VC Kima Ventures, Marseille-based ZeBox Ventures and a number of leading business angels, including Julien Chaumond, co-founder at Hugging Face; Xavier Court, founder at Veepee, and Thibaud Elzière, founder at Fotolia.
  • With the fresh capital, Veeton plans to hire fresh talent in the AI and machine learning domains, accelerate its technology and product development, and expand the marketing of its solution on a larger scale in France and abroad.
